1 cup flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
2 beaten eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Into a small bowl sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and chili powder.

Add eggs, milk and oil and stir until smooth and evenly blended.

Dip any of the following into the batter and then deep fry until golden.

Serve as appetizers or with rice as a light dinner. Dipping sauces include soy, teriyaki and other asian sauces.

Shrimp, small pieces of chicken, broccoli tips, sliced carrots, onion rings, mushroom slices, zuccini slices, sweet potato slices, squash slices, cauliflower tips.

As a desert serve tempura banana slices with choc. syrup.
