1 (12 oz.) pkg. uncooked wide egg noodles
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
1 c. frozen peas
2 (6 oz.) cans tuna, drained
2 (10.75 oz.) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
8 oz. mushrooms, sliced or chopped if large
1 c. bread crumbs, panko or crushed potato chips

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook noodles in boiling waters 8-10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a large bowl, combine noodles, onion, 1 c. cheese, peas, tuna, soup and mushrooms. Transfer to the 9x13x2-inch baking dish, top with bread crumbs and remaining 1 c. cheese. Bake until cheese is bubbly and breadcrumbs are browned, about 25 minutes.
