8 oz sour cream
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar

Mix all ingredients and marinate overnight.

Virginia Langford used to always bring this dish to 5th Sunday Luncheon at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, and my mother absolutely loved it. So when I came across the recipe years later, I surprised her with it on one of my parents’ visits to my home in South Carolina. She must have cherished the recipe, because my dad recently found it in her papers, in my handwriting.
