1 12 oz box penne or rigatoni noodles
1 pound ground beef
2 6 oz cans tomato paste
2 cups water
2 tsp sugar
2-4 Tbsp chili powder to taste
optional: chopped celery and onion and simmer with sauce till tender.
1-2 cups shredded cheese

Directions:

Heat 2 quarts water to a boil. Add noodles and cook till done.
Brown meat in a large skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce, water, sugar, and chili powder. Bring to a simmer. Add celery and onion if using and simmer 10 minutes or until tender.

Drain noodles. Pour prepared sauce over noodles and stir in. Cover the top with cheese and cover till the cheese melts.
