2 chicken breasts - cut up skin removed
or 1 whole chicken cut up into 8 pieces
2 onion chopped
3 tomatoes - chopped
2 tbsp. crushed garlic
2 tbsp. crushed ginger
¼ Cilantro - chopped
½ tsp. paprika
2 tbsp. yogurt
tsp garam masala
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp. cumin and coriander powder
2 tbsp. oil
2 cardamom pods
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp cumin seeds

1. Fry onions in oil and when they turn golden brown, take them out on a plate.
2. Marinate chicken in yogurt, 1 tbsp. of garlic, 1 tbsp. of ginger, green chutney, salt, lemon juice for about 10 - 20 mins.
3. On medium heat add 2 tbsp. of oil in a wok (karahi), add cumin seeds. garlic, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
4. Add fresh tomatoes, paprika and tomato paste and let it cook.
5. Add turmeric and coriander and dhana jeera powder and the marinated chicken.
6 Let the chicken cook until it is soft and add onions and garam masala.
7 If the sauce is dry, add ¼ cup of water.
8. Sprinkle cilantro and serve.

Serve with Nan and Rice.
