1 Cup sugar
¾ Cup oil
2 eggs
1 Teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 Teaspoon almond flavoring
2½ Cups flour
1½ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, oil, eggs, and the vanilla and almond flavorings. Mix well with mixer. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to the liquid mixture and mix. Use 1 Teaspoon measurer to scoop the dough. Roll each scoop into a ball. Flatten each ball with the palm of your hand on a cookie sheet that has been covered with parchment paper. Press sliced almonds into the top of half of the cookies. Bake at 375º for six minutes. Cool the cookies on a wire rack. Spread seedless raspberry jam on ½ of the cookies and top them with the sliced almond cookie.

This cookie recipe was given to me by my neighbor Nancy Macklin. It is a delicious cookie that is nice to add to a large assortment of cookies for Christmas.
