Cut dough from roll into small pieces with scissors or knife. Drop into boiling water with potatoes (potatoes should be almost done cooking). After it has boiled for several minutes or when the dough has cooked, drain water off knefla and potatoes. Melt 2 TBSP shortening in frying pan and brown some onions or bread crumbs.
