1 Cup butter
¼ Cup sugar
1½ Cup flour
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Cup ground walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the flour, vanilla and ground walnuts. Mix well. Shape into balls the size of a walnut and roll in confectioners sugar. Place on ungreased or parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake at 300º for 30 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Cool the cookies and roll again in confectionery sugar.

This is a great and easy recipe for adding to your Christmas cookie platter. This recipe was given to me as a young wife by my third grade Sunday School teacher, Ruth Jarman. She remained a good friend all my life. Vienne is a city in SE France.
