Directions:
In a medium size bowl combine 2 cups of flour and the yeast. In a medium saucepan heat and stir the milk, butter, sugar, and salt just until warm and the butter almost melts (120-130º). Add this to the flour mixture along with the 2 eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on high speed for for 3 minutes. using a wooden spoon, stir in the orange peel, orange juice, and as much of the remaining flour that you can.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough that is smooth and elastic. Shape dough into a ball. Place in a slightly greased bowl turning once to grease the dough. Cover and let rise is a warm place until double in size.

After the dough has risen, punch the dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough in half. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Lightly grease two large baking sheets.

Roll each dough into a 12 x 7 inch rectangle and cut each rectangle into twelve 7 inch strips. Tie each strip into a loose knot. Place the knots 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Cover and let rise in a warm place until almost doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 375º.
Bake for 12- 14 minutes until golden. Remove from the baking sheets and cool on wire racks. Drizzle with Orange Icing.

Personal Notes:
This recipe is from Better Homes and Garden Cook Book. A friend of mine had my family over for dinner and made these rolls. I asked for the recipe and she said it was in the BHG cook book. I starting making them for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They were a family favorite. You can make them into any "roll" shape that you like. I made mine into crescent shaped rolls and then drizzled the frosting over the tops. These rolls are even good the next day when reheated for breakfast.
