1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
15 saltines, crushed
½ tsp pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbls. oil
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 Tbls. flour
2 cups water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg, saltines, onion, beef, and pepper. Form into 5 thick patties. Brown in oil and remove from pan. Remove from pan and discard dripping. In a small bowl mix water, flour, and soup mix. Pour into pan and bring to a boil. Add patties and spoon gravy over. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until meat is no longer pink.

Optional: Put patties in oven safe dish. Pour gravy over top. Bake at 325º for 1 hour.
