4 ounce semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup butter
1 3/4sugar
1 cup unsifted flour
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Dash of salt
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325F
Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler.
Cool slightly.
Combine the sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and salt.
Add chopped nuts to mixture to coat the nuts.
Combine the two ingredients mixtures.
Mix only until blended, do not beat.
Pour into paper lined muffin pans.
Bake at 325F for 30 minutes.
Do NOT frost!

Hazel our neighbor was an outstanding baker. We would sit with her and her husband on the swing in their front yard during warm summer evenings. She’d often bring out some kind of bake goods, this was my favorite, it was like a brownie in a cup!
