5 or 6 med. Sweet Potatoes
1/2 c. Sugar (brown or granulated)
2 Tbsp. Water
1/2 tsp. Salt
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Wash potatoes and cut out imperfections. Boil 20 minutes. Drain and scrape off the skins. Cut in lengthwise slices 1/2 inches thick and arrange in a buttered pie tin. Make a syrup by boiling sugar, salt and water for 5 minutes. Pour part of the syrup over the potatoes. Dot them with butter and bake in 350º oven 20-30 minutes or until well browned and tender. Baste with remaining syrup during baking. More butter may be used and the salt can be omitted.
