Your favorite marinade

Dry rub

Sorghum molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Take brisket and marinate it overnight (I use Dale's marinade)
Make up a good dry rub ( I use store bought and rub and add brown sugar to it), rub it on the brisket and let it set for a least a couple of hours.
Now the important part, take you some sorghum molasses and cover the brisket. Get yourself a spoonful 1st, though.
Put on smoker and smoke it for about 3 hours at about 250...meat won't take anymore smoke after 3 hours at this temp anyway.
Take of smoker and put in pan and cover.
Put in the oven and cook at 225 for 6 or 8 hours.

Done

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the best smoked brisket! We put it in the oven and let it cook while we're sleeping. William says brisket isn't supposed to have sweetness added to it. He says that isn't the 'southern' way. I beg to differ because no one in my family would ever cook anything that isn't cooked the 'southern' way.
