1 can evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 large bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 small bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 stick butter softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place milk, sugar, and cream of tarter into large pan on top of stove and cook for 5 minutes after mixture comes to a boil. Keep stirring the entire time. Put the chocolate chips and stick of butter in another large bowl. when the milk mixture has cooked, add immediately to the chocolate chip mixture and quickly stir until chips and butter melts completely. Add the vanilla, salt, and nuts (if desired) and pour immediately into a buttered dish to cool. Cut when completely cool.
