Sift:
2 ⅓ cups flour
1 (4oz) pkg choc. pudding (not instant)

Mix in:
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda

Add:
1 ½ cups brown sugar
⅔ cups butter
1 cup buttermilk

Beat 1 ½ min on low speed

Add:
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Beat 1 ½ min more.
Directions:
Directions:
Divide into (3) 8" layer pans, or (2) 9" layer pans.
Top with 6 oz choc chips
Bake 350° 30-35 min. Cool.

Frost (tops side up)

Melt over low heat:
6 oz choc chips
¼ c. butter
⅓ c milk

Add 1 lb powdered sugar. (thin with milk if necessary). Frost top and sides of cake.
