Ingredients: This is one of my favorite fall recipes! Super easy and delicious! I pair it with a fresh salad for a full meal.
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients 2- boneless chicken breasts 2- tbsp. butter 2- cans cream of chicken soup 1 (14.5 oz)- can chicken broth (I prefer low sodium) ½ onion, diced 1- tbsp. fresh parsley (dried works also) 4- Grands refrigerated biscuits ( I use whole wheat but any kind will work) *** Feel free to toss in any other veggies, too. I've done celery, carrots, and green beans and I'm sure others will taste great, too!

Directions:Directions
1.) Place chicken in the crockpot. Cover the chicken with the butter.
2.) Scoop the cream of chicken soup on top of that.
3.) Pour the chicken broth over all.
4.) Add the diced onion, parsley, and any other raw veggies
5.) Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8-9 hours (I usually do the high heat setting)
6.) After the chicken is cooked, take out and shred all pieces. Put back into the soup.
7.) Cut each biscuit into 6-9 pieces (I prefer lots of biscuits so I add in extra)
8.) Stir gently into the soup. Cover and turn the crockpot to high and cook another hour.
9.) Serve warm and enjoy! There will be leftovers and they're just as delicious! |
