2 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. shortening
1 T. ginger
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. molasses
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon and salt into a sifter. Sift twice and return to sifter. Cream shortening with sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Sift dry ingredients over liquid mixture. Blend well. Form dough into little balls (1 inch). Roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350º oven for 12-15 minutes or until tops are slightly browned.
