1 pkg. dry yeast
1 3/4 cups warm (not hot) water
4 Tbs.. honey or sorghum syrup
1 well-beaten egg
3 Tbs. oil
5 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the yeast and the water. Add the honey, egg, oil, and mix well.
Add the flour and salt.
Mix and blend well. Cover and let rise until about doubled in size.
Punch down and knead on a floured board.
Divide into 2 loaves or roll and slice into rolls.
Let rise again.

Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until done. (15 minutes for rolls)

Handwritten note: for lighter bread, knead in white flour.
