Ingredients:  
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt (I use 1/2 tsp)
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups quick oats (I use rolled oats)
1 cup chocolate chips or raisins ( I use whole regular bag)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs and peanut butter and beat well. Gradually add flour, salt and soda.
Add vanilla. Stir in Oats and chocolate chips/raisins. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 15 minutes. ( I use parchment paper on top of the cookie sheets.)
