1 cup butter, softened
⅔ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 cups flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Combine butter and sugar.
Gradually sift in flour; mix well.
Form the dough into a ball.
On an unfloured cutting board, roll out/pat the dough to about ½" thick.
Cut the dough into small shapes.
Bake on a buttered cookie sheet for about 12-15 mins.

Makes roughly 3½ dozen cookies.
