Sticky Buns Construction

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Topping
½ C brown sugar
¼ C butter
1 T light corn syrup

Inside
¼ C melted butter
¼ C brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon

These ingredients are for 1/2 the above dough recipe. Use 2 separate square pans and make topping twice.
Hint: I have made the topping right in the baking pans on low heat.

Directions:
Directions:
Before rolling dough make Sticky Bun Topping: in saucepan mix brown sugar, butter and corn syrup heat slowly sitring often, pour into 1 round cake pan or 8x8 square pan. (This can also simply be put made directly in the pans if you can put them on a burner.)

Roll ½ the dough recipe on a lightly floured surface to a 12x8 inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll lengthwise as if for jelly roll. Seal edge; cut into 1" slice. Place cut side down on topping mixture, let rise until doubled (35 to 45 minutes)

BAKE 375º about 20 minutes Remove from oven and let cool 2/3 minutes, invert on rack to finish cooling.
HINT: Place wax paper or foil under cooling racks it drips. Since recipe makes enough for 2 pans that's what I always make. This freezes well. Wrap in plastic and the foil.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the recipe I have made for Christmas breakfast forever. After Joe and I were on our own I thought I would quit making them. Dale came up the day before Christmas and was extremely disappointed that there were not going to be 'sticky buns' for breakfast, so there I was Christmas Eve making sticky buns.
