Cookie:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Shortening
2 Eggs
½ Cup Molasses
1 Cup Sour milk
4 Tsp Soda
1 Tbls Ginger
1 Tbls Cinnamon
5 Cups Flour
2 Tsp Cream of tartar


Frosting:
1 ½ Cups Sugar
1 Tsp Vinegar
½ Cup Water

Boil to medium ball stage.

Cookie:
Cream sugar and shortening; beat eggs and add. Add the rest of ingredients and mix well. Chill 1 hour. Roll on floured board but not too thin. Cut with favorite cookie cutter. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Do not over bake.

Frosting:
Pour this mixture over 2 well-beaten egg whites. Add 12 marshmallows, cut up. Frost cookies and let frosting dry before storing. These cookies freeze we
