1 cup melted butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs beaten
2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cup cornmeal
2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and stir in sugar. Beat in eggs. Mix soda into buttermilk and add to first mixture. Stir in cornmeal, salt and flour till just blended. Bake in a well greased 9 x 13 pan for 30 minutes.

This recipe can easily be halved and baked in a 8 X 8 pan.
