6 - 7 large peeled potatoes
1 tsp. salt

Ground Beef
2 lbs. extra lean ground beef
1 tbsp. garlic paste
1 tbsp. ginger paste
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. green chili paste
2 onions chopped finely into tiny pieces
1½ tsp. garam masala
1 bunch chopped cilantro
1 tsp. black pepper

Bread crumbs
4-5 eggs
3 cups of Canola oil

1 Boil the potatoes in a saucepan full of water with 1 tsp. of salt until they are cooked..
2. Drain the water . Transfer to a large bowl and mash the potatoes using a potato masher.
3.On medium heat, cook ground beef in a saucepan, with garlic, ginger, chili paste, lemon juice and salt. Keep stirring to remove the lumps. Ensure that the meat does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
4. Once all the liquid has evaporated from the meat, take the saucepan off the heat and let it cool.
5. To the potatoes add the cooked meat, chopped onions, cilantro, garam masala, black pepper and mix lightly.
6. Do a taste of the mixture to ensure that it is as per your expectations. Add more salt or chilies if needed.
7. Roll the kababs in a small sausage like shape using your hands, add the bread crumbs and place them on a tray.
8. Beat the eggs lightly with a fork. Do not overbeat the eggs.
9. Heat Canola oil in a wok or fryer.
10. Dip the potato kabob in the eggs and deep fry until golden brown.
11. Use a skimmer to turn them around.
12. Place the kababs on paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serve with tamarind chutney.
