2 lb. of extra lean ground beef
1 tbsp. crushed ginger
1 tbsp. crushed garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. green chili paste
2 large onions finely chopped into tiny pieces
1½ tsp garam masala
1 bunch of chopped cilantro

Directions:

1. In a saucepan, on medium high heat, cook ground beef, garlic, ginger, green chili paste, salt, lemon juice and half of the chopped cilantro.
2.Stirring occasionally, cook until all the liquid has evaporated and the mixture is dry.
3. Taste for salt and spiciness or hotness. If you need salt or chillies you can add at this time.
4. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
5. Sprinkle chopped onions, cilantro and garam masala.

The beef mixture can be prepared ahead of time.


The beef mixture can be used for samosas, bateta champs, bateta chops, kheema mani.
