2 cups raisins
1 cup water
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 1/s tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the raisins and water for 5 minutes and then cool
Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla
Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture along with cooled raisins and water
Mix thoroughly
Drop onto cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes
