2 cups sugar
2 cups shortening
2 eggs
5 cups flour
4 tsp of cream of tartar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:

Mix ingredients in order
Roll into balls
Flatten with a fork
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
