1 cup of dates
1 cup of raisins
1 cup of boiling water
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 cups of rolled oats
2 cups of flour
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dates (chopped), raisins, boiling water and brown sugar and cook until smooth. Let cool
Rub butter into dry ingredients; press half of the mixture into a 9x12 pan; spread date mixture over this and top with remaining dry mixture.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Cut into squares when cool
