Ingredients:  
2 cups of flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp shortening
3/4 cup of currants
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients
Rub butter and shortening into dry ingredients
Add currants and blend
Add milk and mix until moist.
Divide in 2 and knead gently
Roll into 6" circle and cut into 8 wedges
Cook on ungreased griddle
