"Do not overcook this dish. Most seafoods...should be simply threatened with heat and then celebrated with joy."--Jeff Smith, The Frugal Gourmet

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
"Chivalry"
Aunt Marjorie shares this memory with us all. "On the evening of our marriage George and I heard a lot of noise outside, "The Chivalry had begun!" Everyone, the brothers an their wives along with the sisters and their husbands stopped by to help us to celebrate. First a few from the crowd took us for a walk. While on a walk, the ones who had stayed behind, were busy filling our bed with macaroni, rice, salt, and hangers. They also took the time to fill our clothes with rice and macaroni and tying them into knots."

"The Kiss"
Helen and Shirey, "What would you do if I married Dean Burdette?" Shirley said, "I'd scream and jump and throw a fit." Helen said, "Well I am going to marry him." So Shirley true to her word screamed, and jumped and threw a fit.... Shirley now says, "I was only upset because they were getting married at Carol's house; that meant Carol would get to see them kiss, and I wouldn't. However, as it turned out, neither of us got to see them kiss. Carol had to go to school!"
