3 cups flour
1/2 cup shortening or oleo
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tsp rounded baking powder
1/2 cup sweet milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together, cut into shortening with pastry blender. Add cream and milk. Mix well and turn out on floured board. Knead slightly, roll out the dough 1/8 inch thick, making it as rectangular as possible. Spread on half dough with some of the butter, fold again and repeat the process until the butter is used. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Fold one edge of dough to a 1 inch width. Cut this double strip. Repeat cutting strips until entire pieces of dough have been cut. Cut these strips 3 inches long and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 475º until lightly browned.
