1 pound extra lean ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 16 oz package frozen tater tots
1 can undiluted golden mushroom soup
1 cup cheese

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Make an even layer of uncooked meat in bottom of a 9 inch square, baking dish. (I usually cook a little pink out of meat in a skillet before putting in baking dish, since meat is usually not fully cooked enough in the designated time.) Cover with onion. Add 1 layer of frozen tater tots, completely covering beef and onions. Add soup, pouring it evenly over mixture. Top with grated cheese. Bake 1 hour . cut in squares.
