2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
½ cup butter, softened
1 cup chopped walnuts
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sour milk or buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Grease bottom of 9x5 loaf pan. Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Mix at low speed until well blended. Pour into pan. Bake at 350º for 55 to 60 minutes until bread springs back when lightly touched in center. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
DATE-NUT BREAD: Add 1 cup chopped dates
