Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups raisins
3 pkgs yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 cups milk
2 tbs sugar
4 tbs beaten eggs
1/2 cup instant potatoes or 2 potatoes (cooked and mashed)
6 1/2 to 7 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cook raisins with a little bit of water for 5 minutes. Drain and cool. In large mixing bowl dissolve: yeast and warm water. Heat milk, shortening, sugar, and salt and then cool to lukewarm. Add eggs, potatoes and flour. Knead dough, let rise until double, pinch into balls, place on greased cookie sheets. Let rise about one hour. Deep fat fry with risen (round) side into the hot fat first. (This will make the flat side puff out too.)

Also, if you make this whole recipe pinch off just one-half of recipe at a time, then the last ones to be deep fat fried don't have to over rise and collapse.

Glaze: 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tbs sweet cream, 1 tbs cornstarch, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbs melted butter. Mix a little warm water into mixture until right texture.
