3 large apples
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut the apples into small pieces. Make a batter of the egg, flour, salt and milk. Stir in the cut apples. Drop from tablespoon into fat that has been heated to 375º to 400º. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot. This makes about 17 fritters.
