2 T butter
2 T flour
1/8 tsp salt
Pinch black pepper
1 c milk

Directions:
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Use immediately or refrigerate.

You can easily double this sauce. You can also add shredded cheddar cheese (or your choice) to make a very yummy cheese sauce for broccoli or whatever you would like to have cheese sauce on!
