15 cups squash
2 tbsp. salt
4 cups onions
green pepper (as much as desired)
2 4oz. jars Pimentos
5 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups vinegar
2 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. turmeric

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle salt over thinly sliced squash. Set over night in cool place. Next day rise squash and drain. Make syrup of sugar, vinegar, celery seed and turmeric. Bring to boil and add squash. Simmer but do not boil until color changes. Water bath in jars for 5 minutes.
