15 oz can of chick peas
2-4 cloves garlic (depending on who you're smooching later)
3 T of Tahini paste
Juice of one lemon - Must. Be. Fresh.
Salt to taste


For Baba ganoosh:
Substitute a roasted eggplant for the chick peas. (Can roast in broiler or on grill). Do not put in blender. Scoop the eggplant out of it's skin, place into bowl and use two knives to mince.

Heat chick peas in sauce pan. Process ingredients in food processor. Garnish with paprika and parsley, drizzle with olive oil.

Sitto used to have to mash the beans by hand, which is why she heated it up first.
