Ingredients: Fresh Rabbit - we get the ones already flattened perfect for the grill Water to cover all rabbits Salt - enough to make the water taste salty Garlic salt Pepper Spreadable butter Olive oil (not vegetable oil) BBQ sauce (your favourite) Tin foil (if required)

Directions:1. Take Rabbits and wash with clean water
2 take a bowl of water mixed with salt and fully submerge the rabbits
3. Let sit overnight
4. Next day: Take rabbits out of the water and rinse them well
5. Put rabbits in a pan and rub olive oil on them - enough to oil them up
6. Get grill hot
7. Rub butter on rabbits and sprinkle with garlic salt (we use granulated garlic) and pepper
8. Cooking time depends on size of rabbits
9. They are done when temperature reaches 170^ on the fattest part on the rabbit
10. While grilling baste the rabbits with melted butter to keep them nice and moist
11. When close to final temperature, baste a layer of BBQ sauce on them
12. If rabbit or part of it seems to be drying out before the rest is done, wrap in tin foil. |
