¾ C Sugar
3 Tbsp Cornstarch
¼ tsp Salt
2 C Milk
3 Large eggs – slightly beaten
2 Tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
1 C Coconut (optional)


Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt in saucepan. Slowly mix in milk. Heat and stir until bubbly. Cook 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat. Stir small amount of hot mixture into egg. Stir and pour egg mixture into hot mixture in saucepan. Add vanilla and butter. Stir. Add coconut now if desired. Refrigerate. Double this recipe if making a deep dish pie.
