C Sugar
4 tsp Cornstarch
Dash Salt
Dash Nutmeg
1 C Water
2 Egg yolks slightly beaten
2 Tbsp Butter
2 tsp Lemon juice


Directions:
Directions:
Mix: sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg. Gradually add water. Mix. Cook over low heat and stir in sauce pan until thick and bubbly. Add small amount of hot liquid to egg yolks. If egg yolks scramble, the hot mixture was mixed in too quickly or in too large of a quantity. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and lemon juice. Stir.
