1 C rice (not Minute Rice)
1 qt cold water
½ C butter or margarine
1 ½ C sugar
½ C raisins (optional)
2 eggs, well beaten
1 t vanilla
3 C milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice in water until tender. Add butter and sugar. Take off heat. Add well beaten eggs, vanilla, and milk. Stir well. Place in buttered 9 X 13 inch pan or heavy sauce pan with double boiler. Cover with enough water to cover with approximately 1/8 inch water. Cook and let rice absorb water. Repeat. Slowly add half and half letting liquid cook down. When thick, add egg, sugar, and vanilla. Sprinkle with cinnamon on top. May cook on stove or in over at 325F oven 50-60 minutes.
