Season liver slices with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Dredge in flour. Brown liver in reserved bacon drippings. It not enough, add a bit of oil. Put on a plate and set aside. In a small glass, make a slurry of the flour and cold water. Pour in hot grease, quickly add Dawn Fresh and hot water. Mix until no lumps are formed. Put liver, raw onions, and bacon back in. Cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or put in an oven-proof casserole with lid, and cook at 350F for 1 1/2 hours. Add more water when needed. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Personal Notes:
The gravy makes this dish! Make as much as you want. Dawn Fresh is just a base to use but so yummy. This is usually found near the canned mushrooms. It is in a yellow can.
