1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup soft butter
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Beat sugar and butter together.
Add eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add. Blend well. This is a stiff mixture.
Bake 350º F for 10 minutes until light brown.

I got this recipe from Aunt Mary May. Note from Aunt Mary: "I make these cookies often. I always have these ingredients on hand. Sometimes when I made these cookies my husband, Earl, sat by the oven to take them out so they would be soft."
