2 cans french style green beans, drained
1 can shoe peg corn, drained
1 stick of butter
1 ½ cans cream celery soup
½ cup grated cheese
½ cup sour cream
½ chopped onion
pinch of salt
½ cup slivered almonds
1 roll Ritz crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Drain green beans and corn - use a paper towel to pat dry. Mix green beans and corn in a greased 9 x13 casserole dish. Mix soup, sour cream, cheese, salt and onions in a mixing bowl. Spread over green beans and corn. Melt butter and mix with crushed crackers and almonds. Spread on top of casserole and bake 45 minutes to an hour in 350º oven uncovered.

I have modified this recipe over the years. This is the one most in the family seem to prefer. It has a good ratio of "goop" to veggies. The casserole has become a favorite of the Hourigan family as well. I make it for most gatherings.
