1/2 c butter
12 slices of thick-cut, white bread----cut off the crusts and cut into quarters
1 c brown sugar
1 t cinnamon
5-6 eggs
1 1/2 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a 13 x 9" baking dish.
2. Put 6 slices of bread on top of the butter in the dish----create a layer of bread.
3. In a bowl, mix 1 c brown sugar with 1 t cinnamon. Sprinkle 1/2 of this mixture over the bread.
4. Add another layer of bread using up the other 6 slices.
5. In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk until well blended. Pour over the bread.
6. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.
7. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
8. In the morning, bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Then uncover and continue baking for another 15 minutes or so or until set and browned. Make sure the eggs/milk mixture is cooked and it's not runny.
