Porcupine Meatballs Recipe

For meatballs:

1 lb. ground meat
1 t salt
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 t celery seed
1/2 c. water
garlic powder and pepper to taste
1/2c. onion

For sauce:

8 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 c water
2 t Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix all of the ingredients for meatballs in a large bowl. Form meatballs and place into a greased casserole dish.
2. Mix all of the sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs.
3. Cover casserole with either lid or aluminum foil.
4. Bake in a 350F oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes if needed.

1. A lot of times, I double the sauce because I like more!
2. This recipe is easily doubled.
3. Variation - Take frozen Brussel sprouts and form the meatballs around them. Bake as above.
4. Variation #2 - Instead of the tomato-based sauce, you can use red chile if you have it!
