2 tablespoons butter
¼ cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon dry mustard
¼ teaspoon pepper
2½ cups milk
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
8 ounces elbow macaroni
¼ cup bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the macaroni for 6 minutes and drain. Put macaroni into greased 2-quart casserole.

In 2-quart sauce pan, melt butter over low heat.

Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper until smooth. Remove from heat.

Gradually stir in milk until smooth. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat.

Stir in 1½ cups of the cheese until melted.

Pour cheese mixture over macaroni and mix well.

Mix remaining cheese and bread crumbs, then sprinkle over top of casserole.

Bake in 375º oven for 25 minutes or until topping is lightly browned.
