4 1/2 c. Sugar
1 T. Salt
10 c. Water
2 T. Cinnamon
1/4 t. Nutmeg
1 c. Corn Starch
3 T. Lemon Juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine everything but the lemon juice and apples in a pot. Cook sauce until bubbly. Add lemon juice. Fill quart jars with apples. Pour sauce over apples to cover. Seal and process for 20 minutes in boiling water bath.
**For pie, fill prepared crust and bake at 400º for 50 minutes**
