1-1/2 lbs dates, chopped
12 ounces candied cherries, chopped
12 ounces candied pineapple, chopped
1-1/2 cups pecans
1-1/2 sticks butter
2-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup warm water

Add baking soda to the warm water. Then add to all other ingredients. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Bake at 300 for 40 minutes. Remove from paper immediately.

*Mother used to bake these every Christmas! Yum!
